What we do

Eurofound’s research priorities for 2025–2028 are shaped by the opportunities and challenges arising from four mega-drivers: climate change, demographic change, technological change and re-globalisation.

Eurofound research focuses on the four policy areas mandated in the Founding Regulation – working conditions, industrial relations, employment and living conditions. The Agency continues to collect high-quality survey data and aims to support its stakeholders by providing evidence that can support their policy actions. At the same time, Eurofound reserves some flexible capacity in order to respond to emerging issues and stakeholder ad hoc requests. Eurofound celebrates 50 years of research in 2025. Ad hoc information requests

Reacting to ad hoc information requests from Eurofound’s core stakeholders is a key activity in the new programming period. Key objectives of this service are to ensure rapidity, flexibility and quality in delivering customised input to meet new and emerging information needs.

Network of Eurofound Correspondents (NEC)

As part of its knowledge base, Eurofound has at its disposal a network of national correspondents, based in all Member States plus Norway. Input from the correspondents supports Eurofound’s research by gathering, analysing and reporting on specific developments (policies, practices and regulations) in the EU Member States in relation to the thematic areas covered in Eurofound’s Multiannual research programme 2025–2028, and supporting Eurofound outreach at national level.
