Eurofound Open Day to mark Eurofound’s 50th anniversary
On Friday 13 June 2025 from 10.00-13.00, Eurofound opened its doors to its neighbours and the local community with an opening address delivered by Regina Doherty, Member of the European Parliament.

Event background
This was an opportunity for the Agency to showcase our work on living and working in Europe, show guests around our premises, and provide participants with an opportunity to meet and talk to the team, marking Eurofound’s 50th anniversary of supporting better policies for a strong social Europe.
Participants came
to learn more about our work at the only EU Agency in Ireland
to explore the grounds of our 17th century Loughlinstown House
to talk to the team and staff from 21 Member States of the European Union
to have a coffee and cake, and free BBQ lunch
to visit the exhibitions of our partners and collaborators

Open Day collaboration & partnerships
A key part of this event is collaboration and partnerships with EU institutions and organisations based in Ireland, including the European Commission Liaison Office, the European Parliament Liaison Office, European Commission Directorate F – Health and Food Safety, European Movement Ireland, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of International and European Affairs, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, (IADT).
